Students in both homerooms have been working on brainstorming what they think early Monroe looked like using a KWL chart and a T-chart. We have been discovering what our community was like in the early days of Monroe. Week 9 & 10:
Students in both homerooms have been working on discovering the differences between primary and secondary sources. They have also been challenging themselves to come up with examples of both. Week 4 (Fry's HR):
Students worked in Week 2 & 3 of their Studies Weekly Newspaper to understand physical and political maps have distinctive characteristics and purposes. We also worked began incorporating map elements such as keys, alphanumeric grids, and a compass rose. Students learned the difference between cardinal directions and intermediate directions.
